Bradbury Thompson

accordion

accordion

I created an accordion about the life of Bradbury Thompson, one of the foremost American designers of both his time and ours.

Pages laid out chronicling his major influences (including his children, his mentors, etc), his prominent works, and the trajectory of his life.   I chose to use mostly the colors of CMYK as a nod to his work with the Westvaco Paper Company, in which he experimented with cutting-edge color printing technology.   I also chose to use the typeface Baskerville primarily, as a nod to the typefaces Thompson often chose in his experimentations with type.
