Keep it Down
Keep It Down is a social cause campaign that will point out your daily noise pollution, as well as encourage and suggest ways to combat it. The campaign will inspire its audience to incorporate these changes to their individual, daily life to help out.
Posters were the best method to communicate a quick reminder as well as convey a visually compelling image to draw the viewer in. Whimsical, colorful illustrations were created to maintain this objective.
With the backdrop of the campaign being a dark blue, colors were chosen that would pop against the blue and lend an eye-catching quality to the illustrations as well as the overall campaign.
The posters were created as a series of two posters, meant to be displayed side by side.
The first poster would be largely image based with only a tagline of text, meant to draw attention to noise.
The second poster would be a supplementary explanation with information about how the noise affects certain animals and an alternative action one could take in moving forwards
The landing page for the website is kept simple. Using the design guidelines set throughout the campaign, it is split into three sections: The Campaign, The Info (noise levels), and The Action.
To further spread the message of the campaign, collectable items & promotional material (t-shirts, tote bags, stickers, printed cards) would be handed out or sold. Dynamic placement of illustrations and simple typography are utilized to get a straightforward message across.
